Cologne, s.e., 1646. In the 8th. Frontispiece printed in red and black and with branded, ornate headboards and initials, blooms and reddening, coeval binding in brown calfskin with floral friezes and title in gold on the back, red cuts, slight lacks, worn plates.
Specialist Notes
Interesting and well documented report by Cardinal Bentivoglio on the wars of Flanders; he was a direct witness, as apostolic nuncio, to the events that involved Holland from 1607 for about ten years. The work contains a treatise on the Huguenots, a report on the truce of 1609 in Antwerp and on the resumption of military events in 1614.
