Specialist Notes

Œil & nbsp; was founded in 1955 by & nbsp; Rosamond Bernier & nbsp; (1916-2016) and & nbsp; Georges Bernier & nbsp; (1911-2001), a couple of journalists close to the milieux artistic of the time and eager to create a lively and widespread art magazine. In fact, it distinguished itself, compared to other specialized magazines, for its openness to the general public and simple and well illustrated texts. It was also one of the first magazines in the sector to open up to neighboring areas, such as interior decoration and design. Since 1973 he changes the direction of the magazine and takes on a different editorial line.
