On the front door, full-page portrait of the dedicatee of the work, by MM Bousquet, frontispiece printed in red and black characters with vignette with portrait of the author engraved by Will after Kneller, 5 full-page plates engraved by Gallimard, numerous cartoons engraved by Soubeyran after Delamonce, slight browning and some stains, contemporary brown calfskin binding, plates framed by double gold piping and small festoons at the corners.
