Bologna, 1645. In 2nd. Elegant chalcographic architectural frontispiece surmounted by the arms of the dedicatee of the work, with 42 etchings on 21 sheets, two two on each sheet (the engravings n. 15 and 16, 23 and 24, 43 and 44 are missing), the n. 47 signed: "Agost. Mitelli painter", restoration of the title page, slight blooms, some halo, back binding in half parchment and marbled paper, with author and title imprinted longitudinally on the spine. Paper bookplate on the counterplate.
Specialist Notes
First rare edition by Agostino Mitelli (1609-1660), printed in 1645 and dedicated to Count Ettore Ghisilieri. The etchings depict the pillars of the portico of the church of S. Bartolomeo in Porta Ravegnana in Bologna. & Nbsp;
