Con 9 tavole finemente incise in rame da Vandenburg, Bartolozzi, Chessman ed altri, ciascuna protetta da velina, 15 testatine e finalini incisi da Bartolozzi ed altri, i disegni sono di Lady Diana Beauclerc, macchie e bruniture soprattutto in prossimità dei margini, legatura in pelle marrone posteriore,con decorazione impressa in oro, piatti inquadrati da duplice cornice con ai 4 angoli un fregio a forma di stella, titolo al dorso, restauri.

Raffinata edizione illustrata con le tavole eseguite sui disegni di Lady Dìana Beauclerc. Le "Fables" di Dryden sono una libera interpretazione delle più famose opere di Chaucer e Boccaccio, del primo libro dell'Iliade e di parte delle Metamorfosi di Ovidio, e di altri opere.
