Prima edizione in lingua italiana. Importante relazione sulle regioni alpine e svizzere ad opera del patriota e letterato messinese che in seguito divenne Ministro dell'Istruzione nei primi anni del Regno. Le tavole sono incise da Wallis, Cousen e altri da disegni del Bartlett, grande maestro della raffigurazione paesaggistica del XIX secolo.
