Elegante antiporta figurata, frontespizio stampato in caratteri rosso e nero, con 4 tavole in doppia suite, illustrazioni nel testo in bianco e nero, il tutto opera di Georges Rochegrosse, suggestiva brossura editoriale in cartoncino illustrata colori, conservata in legatura in marocchino nocciola, al piatto anteriore una cornice di pelli policrome con al centro uno scarabeo in pelle nera e oro, astuccio in cartonato marmorizzato.

Raffinato libro d'artista. Il nostro esemplare è il n. 248 della tiratura sur vélin d'Arches con uno stato delle illustrazioni al tratto ed uno completo. Le composizioni sono opera del pittore ed illustratore francese Georges Antoines Rochegrosse (1859-1938), l'antiporta venne incisa da Rita Dreyfus, le altre tavole a colori da Georges Beltrand mentre le illustrazioni in bianco e nero da R. Blot.
