Grande cartella dell'Ospedale Psichiatrico Provinciale di Lucca di cartone rosa, con all'interno la poesia "Eri un capitano", firmata da Mario Tobino, datata maggio 1969. All'esterno della carpetta, dedica ad un amico in data 9-5-1969.

Pubblicata in calce ad un racconto edito sul “Corriere della Sera”, giovedì 19 giugno 1969 e poi inserito in un volume di Bartolomeo Di Monaco dal titolo I MAESTRI - Gli elzeviristi del“Corriere della Sera dal 1967 al 1970– Volume III. La presente poesia autografa è datata maggio 1969, dunque un mese prima della pubblicazione sul quotidiano.
