Grande frontespizio architettonico con stemma nobiliare al centro, figure allegoriche, mascheroni e un cartiglio centrale con la dedica ad Antonio Perez, Segretario di Stato del Re Filippo II, capilettera abitati ritoccati in rosso, testo in spagnolo, frontespizio rifoderato, bruniture e vistosi aloni di umidità, restauri all’angolo superiore delle ultime due carte con minima perdita della paginazione. Ex libris al contropiatto della libreria “La Medicea” di Firenze, altro ex libris nobiliare con motto “nil difficile volenti”. La prima edizione di questa celebre traduzione in spagnolo della Farsalia ad opera di Martín Lasso (o Laso) de Oropesa (1499-1564) uscì a Lisbona nel 1541, seguita da altre ristampe; questa è la IV ed è sicuramente la migliore.
