Lione, Antonium Vincentius, 1552. In 2°. Marca tipografica al frontespizio, capilettera decorati, due tavole nel testo raffiguranti l’Arbor Civilis e l’Arbor de Successionibus, marginali bruniture, conservati i piatti della legatura antica in pelle con impressioni a secco, dorso rifatto.
Avvocato francese nato nel 1480 e morto nel 1540, Chasseneux offrì in quest’opera il modello e la principale fonte per il diritto consuetudinario francese, che fu adottatto sino all’introduzione del Codice Napoleonico. L’opera venne ristampata innumerevoli volte sin dalla princeps del 1517.
