Bologna, heirs of Constantino Pisarri, and Giacomo Filippo Primodì, impressors of the S. Officio, 1752. In 4 °. Frontispiece printed in red and black with chalcographic vignette, xylographic drop caps, first white paper present, an engraved copper plate folded at the end, coeval binding, coeval leather binding, back with 5 nerves embossed in gold, with gusset, red cuts, back faded.
First edition (the same year also published by Dalla Volpe) of this important contribution by the Bolognese mathematician and philosopher (1692-1777) to the problem of `` living forces '' posed by Leibnitz and subsequently treated by other great mathematicians, including Bernouilli.
