Rome, Giovanni Generoso Salomoni, Fausto Amidei, 1761. In 8 °. Figured engraved front door, 26 folded engraved plates, frontispiece with woodcut frieze, headboards, end pieces and woodcut initials, reinforcements, tear at the fold on the panel in Livorno and Florence, restoration at c. X8, c. Detached X, slight stains and marginal defects, full rigid parchment binding, manuscript editorial data on the spine. Ownership note on front door and title page, few marginal notes.
One of the most complete editions of the well-known Italian Itinerary of Scotus. The specimen is complete with all the beautiful 26 off-text plates which, together with the initial map of Italy, represent the major Italian cities, often drawn with a bird's eye view.
