Transcription of the interesting account of the journey of Giuseppe Scipione Castelbarco of Milan, undertaken in 1802. The first date is July 20, in which the protagonist informs us that he is leaving Paris for Saint Denis. Through various stages - Amiens, Montreuil, Calais - he arrives in London on July 27 and witnesses the entrance of Sir Franci Burdett, elected member of Parliament. Castelbarco describes in detail the monuments visited, in London and the surrounding area, adds historical and costume hints: he visits an exhibition of prints by Colnaghi, goes to the theater, attends the parade for the birthday celebrations of the Prince of Wales. There is no shortage of habits and customs: the precautions to avoid fires, night patrols, the bells that annoyingly ring even at night, the night lighting, less beautiful than that of Paris, but more widespread. At the end of October, after an illness, he leaves London and resumes the journey through France to return home.
