Venice, Aldus Manutius, 1589. In the 8th. Friezes and woodcut initials, typographical error in the numbering of the pages, rare slight marginal blooms and reddening, slight water-repellent in the lower part, binding of a later period in the middle of chagrin green, author within the insert on the back gold friezes. Signature of belonging to the title page.

Important work of magic by Bishop Leonardo Vairo (1586-1603). Adams V, 15; Durling 4462- Thorndike VI, 528: "He defines 'fascinum' as a pernicious quality induces by art of demons because of tacit or express pact of men with the same demons. In his last chapter Vairus treats of safeguards and amulets against the impostures and illusions of demons. "
