First edition of the first work published by Sardi, general of artillery, born in Rome in 1560 and died after 1639. The first part exposes the universal principles of fortification learned through study and direct observation in many countries, the second illustrates the construction practice, derived above all from Alghisi and Lorini. Riccardi II, 423.
