The issues of 'Teatro' came out at irregular intervals in groups of two, three or four volumes at a time, as a supplement to 'Il dramatic', a fortnightly theater criticism magazine active between 1925 and 1983, founded by Dino Segre and Lucio Ridenti . Each volume contains a significant work specially translated or retranslated, revised or updated, and always preceded by a preface with clarification or notes, if necessary.
