Very rare original edition. The author, in the form of a dialogue between two characters and based on his own experiences, analyses, corrects and integrates the advice of the "Salerno Medical Rule" giving, among other things, particular information on foods and drinks, on their medical properties, on the useful and harmful and the most correct way to combine them. Fulvio Gherli (Modena, 5 June 1670 – Guastalla, 15 March 1735) Italian doctor and alchemist. Trained as a doctor and surgeon in his city, he first worked in Scandiano and San Martino d'Este, later entering the court of Prince Foresto d'Este and the Duke of Guastalla Giuseppe Maria Gonzaga. In the first decade of the 17th century he moved to Naples, where he became the personal doctor of the family of the Princes of Sansevero, becoming the hermetic guide and teacher of the young Don Raimondo di Sangro and where he had the opportunity to meet others belonging to the Neapolitan alchemistic, hermetic and Masonic milieu. like the Baron of Digliola Giuseppe Donzelli and Francesco Maria Santinelli, gravitating around the nascent Traditional Egyptian Rite.
