Naples, in the Royal Printing House, 1810. In 8°, pp. XVI-180 with 6 plates engraved on copper folded several times f.t. Contemporary full leather binding, title and rich decorations in gold on the spine, golden frames on the plates.



Specialist Notes

Vincenzo Flauti (1782 - 1863), student of Nicola Fergola, was among the greatest mathematicians of the Kingdom in the first half of the 19th century. He was given the task, by a specially established commission in 1807, to draw up a course for use in the schools of the Kingdom, a decision motivated by the Government's desire to have a text that, in a systematic manner, organized all the mathematical knowledge up to that point. currently divided into separate and independent treaties. Original edition of this manual which had an undoubted editorial success, counting numerous re-editions and reprints.
