Elegant 58-page paper manuscript with three very fine watercolor drawings with lively contemporary coloring depicting Zara, Pago and the Scardona Waterfalls, in Italian, 255 x 200 mm. Antique cardboard binding.

Specialist Notes

Accurate historical and topographical description of about a hundred Dalmatian towns and cities, with reports of illustrious men and historical episodes. Certainly unpublished, everything to be studied.
Incipit: "History does not present us with the name of any Emperor who visited Dalmatia, taking an interest in it, except that of Diocletian. In his Palace , which now forms the enclosure of a part of the city of Split, he came to fulfill his memorable life in the year 313 of the Common Era. (...)".
