Parigi, l'autore e Nicolas Langlois, 1683. In 4°. Elegante antiporta figurata allegorica, cui seguono le figure della Pratique de la construction de la fortification nouvelle, 12 tavole di cui 10 a doppia pagina incise in rame, qualche brunitura leggera, le prime 17 carte fittamente vergate ai margini in corsivo tedesco, legatura in vitello screziato, dorso a 5 nervi, ai comparti titolo e fregi floreali impressi in oro, tagli rossi, piccoli difetti. Ex libris al contropiatto e note di appartenenza.
Prima edizione. François Blondel (1617-1686) con questo testo propone un nuovo metodo di fortificare le città. Le figure allegate rappresentano in pianta i profili delle fortificazioni e bastioni.
