Parma, Bodoni, 1793. In 2° grande Reale, 450 x 330 mm. 2 voll. Legatura originale in cartone marmorizzato racchiusa in due astucci originali in cartone giallo con 3 tasselli in pelle ai dorsi recanti dati tipografici, esemplare a pieni margini, uno dei 25 impressi in velina sopraffina di Francia.
Uno degli indiscussi capolavori bodoniani, universalmente ammirato, che suscitò l'invidioso stupore del Didot. Contiene le Bucoliche, le Georgiche, l'Eneide, i Poemata quae sub Virgilii nomine circumferuntur, la vita di Virgilio di Donato. Esemplare in condizioni genuine, tanto nella legatura, conservata nei suoi astucci originali, quanto nelle condizioni interne.
