Provenance

The model
On November 16, 2017, Eng. Giampaolo Dallara's 81st birthday, the first street-legal car of the car manufacturer he founded, became available: the Dallara Stradale. "Designing it was like translating Giampaolo Dallara's dream into a sculpture" said Lowie Vermeersch of GranStudio, head of design. The Ford Focus RS-derived 2.3-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine was improved by Dallara with new internal parts and new control software, reaching a maximum power of 400 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The gearbox was a 6-speed manual, but the robotized 6-speed gearbox with paddles was available. The Stradale was the result of the Parma-based company's many years of racing experience (today producing and developing Formula E single-seaters and many others), starting with the components used for construction: a mix of ultra-light composite materials for the monocoque, body and bottom body weighing only 855 kg; thanks to these technical characteristics the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. The car was developed together with the famous test driver Loris Bicocchi, focusing on pure driving pleasure by giving the driver the possibility to deactivate the traction, stability, and ABS controls. Dallara also offered accessories to make it more "comfortable" like a windshield, a reinforcement structure above the seats and doors that open upwards, but also accessories for use on the track such as the large rear wing and tailor-made suspension.
The Model
The Dallara Stradale chassis no. ZA9ME2007JVM27008 is a signature edition version: the first 10 cars that left the factory, including Eng. Dallara's personal one. The model proposed is number 8 of the 10 produced and painted in Dallara blue, with the serial number plate and Eng. Dallara's signature. The model is the only one of the ten Signature edition with the robotic gearbox. The car is in excellent general condition, with less than 5,000 km, and has never been brought to the track. The model is very well-equipped: adjustable suspensions, robotized gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel, 18 "and 19" forged graphite wheels, carbon mirrors, carbon fiber headlights, a smartphone holder, and side anti-scratch film. And it is equipped with a windshield and transparent roof, allowing all three car configurations provided. Immediately after purchase, the accessories were enriched with an original kit for the control unit and exhausts and a car cover. The car is equipped with air conditioning as standard. If awarded, it will be the first Dallara in the world to be sold by auction.
