Octagonal, rifled barrel, with adjustable rear sight and foresight, marked with company address, with "KING'S IMPROVEMENT" and patents up to 1860, cal. "44 W.C.F.". Bore with pitting and clearly visible rifling. Frame with upper tang and model inscription, lower tang with serial number "366xxx B". Brass elevator block. Working mechanism, the extractor loading gate needs revision, as it has sliding problems. Walnut butt and fore-end, both smooth. Iron mounts. Smooth butt plate, with brass loading gate, with ramrod. Third model.
