Cylindrical, rifled, 7-1/2", 36 cal. barrel (visible rifling, some pitting inside), standard mark on the back. The barrel wedge with numbers not matching with the rest of the components. Six-shot cylinder, with faint traces of battle between the Texan and Mexican fleets, patent and serial numbers more visible (matching with the rest of the components). Working mechanism. Frame with "COLTS PATENT" mark on the left side, serial number "34xx" also present on the pin of the cylinder (the same numbering is present on the barrel, cylinder, and gripstraps). Trigger guard marked "36 CAL". Brass bands. Some pitting. Walnut grip.
