"Some of the views created by Mancini in the Neapolitan period are places particularly close to him. This work reproduces the terrace of the house in Vico Orticelli in Naples where the artist lived between 1876 and 1877, before the second trip to Paris. Schettini, in the presentation to the catalog of the Ciardiello Collection at the Galleria dell'Esame, in 1942, cites it as: '...a harmony of delicate and dense greys, fused in the calm atmosphere, rich in vibrations, in a vast and yet so intimate vision'. Published and reproduced several times, however, already in 1953, it was lost."
C. Virno, Rome 2019, vol. The pp. 185-186.
