Iron skull (nickel plating lacking in some spots) with beautiful fur turban (phoca vitulina), rounded frieze with Savoy cross. Crest with gilded and finely chiselled brass comb featuring embossed lion's head and olive at the base featuring crowned monogram "VE". Armoured chin straps with gilded brass plates, velvet inside. Tricolour silk cockade on the left side. Inside leather sweat-band in good condition, red silk bonnet stamped in gold "CAPRIOLO SECONDO & FIGLI / CORAZZIERI / ROMA" (and with not clearly visible number); also inside, part of the brim and nape-guard, red leather rivets. In its original leather-covered case (missing parts?), with handle at the top; inside lined with fabric marked "OFFICINE CAPRIOLO & FIGLI / PORDENONE Roma".
