Smoothbore, round, 16 gauge barrels, made of damasK, with rib. Clean bore, with some pitting inside. Backward spring locks with fine engravings depicting florals and pheasants. Working mechanism. Receiver with engravings en suite, also present at the tang (the screw does not hold). Butt and fore-end made of beautiful marbled briarwood. Trigger guard also serves as key release, decorated with monogram "EM"; its tang signed and dated "Fratelli Zanotti 1870". Remains of browning. Butt plate and other iron mounts.
