Back of the frame with marks "PETTENGILLS PATENT 1856" and "RAYMOND & ROBINTAILLE PATENTED 1858". Serial number "20xx" on the grip. Walnut grip scales with signs of use and time, one with small restoration to one corner, inside with serial number matching the revolver.
