U.S.A.", provided with pewter foresight and adjustable rear sight, stamped "44 CAL." at the breech. Iron frame with upper tang marked with 1973 and 1979 patent inscriptions. Working mechanism. "S"-type lever. Serial number "9xx" on the lever and the lower tang. Smooth butt plate and fore-end made of walnut. Iron butt plate with ramrod compartment (not present).
