Burgonet worked in one piece, skull strongly ribbed at the center and extending into the comb, the upper part with a large decoration depicting acanthus leaves in relief running from the profile of the comb to the back of the skull and consisting of two large spirals on the sides; pointed brim ribbed at the center, worked in one piece with the skull and provided with a swallow-tailed margin and a twisted rope; the nape-guard in one piece with the skull and worked en suite with the brim; movable cheeckpieces decorated with racemes in relief like the frieze on the skull, rosette with air holes, riveted ropes; the surface of the helmet is decorated with a black bitumised paint, the raised elements left in their natural finish. Gorget (probably of later production) with single plates and neck plates; the surface is blackened and with some elements left in their natural finish. Bust with breast-plate consisting of eight plates featuring the upper edge worked with staples, the highest plate provided with a transversal rope; the surface is all blackened except for the margins where a small section is left in its natural finish, rivets with brass heads. The backplate worked en suite, the single back loin-guard with roped border. Four-plated pauldrons, the two main ones featuring a beautiful embossed mask shaped as a lion's head with a spiral frieze on both front and back side which is similar to the decoration of the skull; the upper border with plain hemmed margin and notch decoration, the last blade with roped decoration similar to the petal-shaped border. Two-plated front backpiece and six-plated tassets with upper borders decorated like the breastplate, the last plates with a beautiful embossed floral decoration lacquered in natural colour (as are the margins and cords), the rest of the surface is blackened like the other elements. The armour is provided with leather straps and fringes covered with burgundy velvet (very worn) and bordered with silver thread (probably of later date). Mounted on an old wooden mannequin with a beautiful gilded and stuccoed base.
