Ducato di Lucca
length 77 cm.
Curved, single-and-false-edged blade of fine damask, highlighted by a small step on the back, at the base marked "2". Silver hilt, single langet with coat of arms of the Duchy of Lucca, "S"-shaped quillons. Solid silver grip worked with transversal bands with wire binding. Pommel shaped as a lion's head, eyes with hard red stone, brass crown at the top. Scabbard (probably a war booty) of leather-covered wood sewn with metal wire and with silver mounts, long cap with engraved geometric and floral motifs, three suspension rings. Complete with gilded-threads sword-knot.
