Straight, double-edged blade of slightly hexagonal section, the base with central fuller, the tang with side grooves. Iron hilt with "S"-shaped, curved quillons, monster-headed bases, the inner bands decorated with waves and with button at the ends. Well-proportioned, compacted, mushroom-shaped pommel, formed by eight lobes divided by chorded segments. The leather covering of the wooden grip dates from a later period. The surface with medium rust damage that, instead of detracting, enhances the beauty and charm of this rare weapon.
