A prestigious rosewood box decorated with brass inlays and handles on the sides, featuring the royal monogram "A" surmounted by a princely crown at the center of the lid. Lined inside with burgundy velvet and featuring compartments covered in leather. The set consists of ten crystal boxes and containers with silver lids decorated with very fine engravings depicting palaces among floral motifs; each lid also features a round, gold medallion with the letter "A" under a crown; with various marks. Additionally featuring a gilded-silver cup decorated en suite. With a large, removable compartment at the center of the box complete with all tools (one with broken blade) for personal care, partially made of gold and provided with mother-of-pearl handles; particularly remarkable are the two scissors made of carved and finished steel, decorated with small buttons; also noteworthy is the gold mechanical pencil of the prestigious company "S. MORDAN & COMPANY," with a semiprecious stone at the pommel. Provided with a "secret" document holder inside the lid marked "EDWARDS MANUFACTURER TO HIS MAJESTY. 21 KING S.T BLOOMSBURY, LONDON." Two additional compartments are located under the central ones, one of which is removable (a lace is missing). Aside from some signs of use and time, the box is in excellent condition. An extraordinary set of remarkable craftsmanship.
