Curved, tipped, single-and-false-edged blade, grooved near the back and with a wide fuller; unmarked. Rounded back. Brass hilt with three loop-guards with swallow-tailed margins, parry quillon and langets likewise. Long smooth cap. Wooden grip with remains of antique leather covering. Iron scabbard (signs of use and time) with two lugs, missing mouthpiece. Two brass bands complete with lug. Probably from France or Italic Kingdom.
