Information
length 115 cm.
Straight, single-and short false-edged blade, with flat sides, some pitting but basically in good condition. Featuring a mark with fasces at the forte surmounted by the Phrygian cap. Large, brass hilt with wide elliptical quillon. Parry side worked with lobes and stamped on both sides: "10" on one side, "13" on the other. Stamped "DUMONT" at the rear side. The guard with two loop-guards, the main one possibly with small repair, the secondary one flat, worked with spirals and with loop-guards. The connecting element between the two loop-guards depicting fasces surmounted by the Phrygian cap. Grip with old leather covering and copper wire binding. Short cap. Wooden scabbard (leather of more recent production) with brass mounts with two lugs. For heavy cavalry and dragoons.
