Almost straight, single-and short false-edged blade, with fuller on almost its entire length and with thin groove near the back on the central segment, with the motto "LA NATION LIBRE" on the right side. Brass hilt with pierced guard and wavy decoration at the borders. A second guard is hinged on the first one and is provided with an iron spring screw to lock it. Long, smooth cap. Grip with leather handle (some woodworm holes) and with copper wire binding. Leather scabbard, old and very worn, partially frayed, with iron mounts (in patina, a loose band) with two lugs.
