length 153 cm.
Smoothbore, round barrel, 17,9 mm cal. at the nozzle, with octagonal breech, bearing remains of marks at the base, with clutch for the bayonet. The tang with only partially legible traces of model marking: "M ...77...". Lock with working mechanics, brass pan. Lock plate marked "M.re N.ale De St. Etienne", with "C.S" mark and flaming grenade. Wooden, full stock with deep engraving on the right side of the butt stock and dotted mark "78", on the left side stamp "RF" with mark not clearly legible around it. Iron mounts. Butt-plate with mark "C", trigger guard with "G" surmounted by star, same stamp on the counterplate and on the muzzle ring and barrel bracket, also marked "AF". Iron ramrod. White leather strap. Socket bayonet.
