Smoothbore, round barrel, 17,8 mm cal. at the nozzle, with octagonal breech, bearing remains of not clearly legible marks (perhaps a "B" surmounted by a fleur-de-lis), provided with clutch for the bayonet. Lock with brass pan, lock plate marked "M. de St. Etienne", marked with flaming grenade and "CS". Working mechanism (on the second snap the cock does not hold the cocking position). Wooden, full stock with restorations and woodworm holes especially to the butt stock, bearing the mark "EB" near the counterplate and a "B" on the butt stock. Iron mounts. Muzzle ring with brass wing screw. Various "G" marks under star. Iron ramrod. With socket bayonet.
