dating: circa 1900 provenance: Borneo, Curved, single-edged blade, strongly enlarged toward the weak, grooved under the back, carved with a curl near the tip, the back with brass crossbars, (missing parts). Typical, carved, bone hilt, the base with vegetable wire binding. The quillon with a coin dated 1892. Partially carved wooden scabbard with wire binding and vegetable fibre suspension. Malaysia, West Borneo or Sarawak. length 60 cm.
