Carlos Ray “Chuck” Norris (born March 10, 1940 in Ryan, New Jersey) is an American actor, martial artist, film producer and writer. After several martial arts films, starting in the 1980s he starred in numerous action films that made him known to the general public, such as Thunderclap, Delta Force, Magnum Force and Code of Silence . In 1988 he published his autobiography The Secret of Inner Strength , which quickly became a best seller. In 1990 he founded a new hybrid martial art, Chun Kuk Do, derived from Tangsudo, in turn the progenitor of Tae Kwon Do. From 1993 to 2001 he starred in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, in the role of the protagonist Cordell Walker, which gave him fame and greater popularity throughout the world.
