Specialist Notes

Clay Regazzoni name needs no introduction: an instinctive and aggressive driver, during his career he won five Formula 1 Grand Prix, connecting his figure indissolubly to Scuderia Ferrari. The chronograph featured in this catalogue has been conceived and created by Clay Regazzoni in the early 2000s, and it has been part of his personal collection. The proceeds from the sale will be donated entirely to charity thanks to the Association “Aiutiamo la paraplegia - Club Clay Regazzoni Onlus”, founded in 1994 by the driver himself together with Giacomo Tansini, to this day Honorary President of the Association with Don Luigi Avanti, President. The principles and aims of the Club are to link motor sports to charity, organizing several events. The proceeds will be donated to Niguarda hospital in Milan, supporting research for paraplegia, as well as to Mozzo institute in Bergamo and Montecatone institute in Imola, supporting rehabilitation.Clay Regazzoni, during his life as a paraplegic, did strongly fight for the rights of the disabled and their integration into daily life and sports; he has always been an example for them continuing to be a driver, as well as founding the first driver school for disabled people in Vallelunga. We sincerely thank Alessia Regazzoni, Giacomo Tansini and Don Luigi Avanti for giving Finarte the opportunity to take part in this initiative, appreciating their invaluable collaboration.
