A rare small sword for knights of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, Second half of the 19th Century

length 88.5 cm.
Blade of triangular section, with hollow sides, engraved with trophies and floral motifs at the first part. Gilt brass hilt, shell-guard with the Order's badge mark covered with green and white enamels among laurel leaves and two lion's heads, loop-guard with lion's head at the center, then with floral motifs in bas-relief. Mother-of-pearl grips. Leather scabbard with gilt and engraved brass mounts (the chape is detached). Complete with rare sword-knot.
