Original painting made by Ricci for the book "Mary Sconta e la gallinella evasa" by Marco Baliani, published by L'arboreto Edizioni in 2011. << One afternoon at the end of April Mary Sconta returns home from the discount store, two heavy weights hanging from her arms plastic bags, from which a sprig of dark green broccoli and the neck of a bottle of table wine on special offer emerge. He is already taking the road behind the railway when he hears a voice coming out of the asthmatic lime trees that line the road. "Are you alone? Say, are you alone?”. Mary Sconta turns around but sees no one. “Over here, back here!” the voice seems strangled with fear. Mary Sconta approaches the largest lime tree, sticks her head out and down there crouched behind the trunk she sees a little black hen looking up at her. >> Signed.
