Information

Naples, Royal Military Typography, 1848. In 4° large, 268 x 205 mm., two watercolour plates with the "Panel of Flags and Signal Brushes", numerous other full-page plates depicting Formations, Evolutions, Signals and maneuvers, at the end of the volume three watercolour plates with the "Table of six nominative signals of the Royal Signs of His Majesty", corrections and additions in pen on some cards, SPLENDID LONG-GRAIN BLUE MOROCCAN BINDING with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies in the center, gold frames and decorations on the corners and spine. Ex libris on the back cover of the Royal Navy Library; ownership note in pen on the frontispiece, "Real Goletta Menai". Also in the lot is a file entitled Regulations for the night navigation of steam vessels of the Neapolitan Navy , Naples, Royal Military Typography, 1853.
