Bologna, in the S. Tommaso printing house, 1780. Only the first volume in folio. On the title page, allegorical figurative vignette, full-page portrait of Pope Pius the Sixth, with a small view and an allegorical figure finely engraved in copper. Elegant contemporary Roman binding in red morocco TO THE ARMS OF POPE PIUS VI, decoration impressed in gold, wide border of stylized phytomorphic motifs on the plates and in the center the papal arms surmounted by the tiara and keys, 6-nerved spine with pomegranate iron on the compartments , golden cuts, some stains. Ex libris of Duke Thomas Vargas Macciucca on the pastedown. Beautiful binding on the arms of Pius VI, born Giannangelo Braschi (Cesena 1717 - Valence sur-Rhone 1799), pope from 1775.
