Opprandino Arrivabene (Mantua, 1807 – Rome, 2 January 1887) was an Italian journalist. Member of the ancient Arrivabene family, he was a supporter of Italian unity and a friend of Giuseppe Verdi for fifty years. Arrivabene was one of the most influential members of Clara Maffei's salon. Director of the magazineIl barbiere di Siviglia(which later became Il Figaro) and close to the music critic Francesco Regli, he was the support of Giuseppe Verdi from the beginning of Giuseppe Verdi's career teacher and his friend for fifty years. Their correspondence, which ran from 1861 to 1886, was published in 1931 and widely cited in Verdi studies.
