Parma, Paganino, 1821. In 8th. Beautiful copper engraved frontispiece with a chessboard, some slight foxing and small stains, editorial paperback with missing parts on the cover and spine, slight defects. Membership stamp on the guard card.

Interesting treatise on the game of chess in its first Italian edition, translated from the English edition of 1797 by Michele Colombo (Campo di Pietra, 1747 - 1838).
