Beautiful typed letter in light blue ink on White House, Washington letterhead, with handwritten signature of Theodore Roosevelt, signed Oyster Bay N.Y. September 7, 1904 and addressed to James Speyer, one of the most powerful American financiers at the time. Together in the lot is an autographed and signed letter from Speyer to Luigi Luzzatti, dated New York, April 6, 1905, and another letter from the American Department of the Interior.
