Specialist Notes
Very rare original edition.Francesco De Cesare (Naples 1801 - 1884) was one of the most important architects of his time. In 1827 he published the "Elementary Treatise on Civil Architecture" in three volumes, the first of a numerous and successful series of works that highlighted his passionate study of building sciences. In this first text, republished in Naples in 1851, in '55 and in '56 with the title "The science of architecture applied to the construction, distribution and decoration of civil buildings", the systematic analysis of the types of materials to be used for urban construction and the easiest methods of application depending on the different functions of the buildings. In addition to the treaty, legal indications appear regarding the role of the expert architect consulted by the courts during forensic disputes.
