Specialist Notes

It contains a total of 33 learned dissertations mostly concerning Etruscan and Roman origins, history and antiquities, with particular attention to monuments and inscriptions of Tuscan and Lazio cities (origin, alphabet and language of the Etruscans, Maltese medals, Tuscan haruspicy, scales of ancient, statues of the Campidoglio, Tuscan amphitheatres and especially that of Arezzo, etc.). Among the authors stand out the names of Ridolfino and Filippo Venuti, Simone Peruzzi, Giov. Lami, Franc. Valesio, Nic. Vagnucci, Lor. Guazzesi, Lod. Ant. Muratori, Ant. Cocchi, Scip. Maffei, etc.
